Working on the layout for 'Morse', small rough thumbnails to begin with... It's tricky, as I have a layout in Gaelic (which I don't read!) and an English translation which isn't formatted at all! As a result, I have to toggle between the two in order to know what's happening on each page... arghhh! It's hard to move text around to accommodate the illustrations, when I have no idea what it says! Will get there eventually!

advocate it

I'm finally up and running on the Advocate Art website - so I guess it's official and I have an agent! The fabulous thing about being represented is that I will now have a presence at book fairs in Frankfurt, Bologna and New York, to name a few. Hopefully this means greater exposure and a chance for more publishers to see my work...

old dog, new tricks

Still waiting to hear from the publisher about 'At Night' (you can see a spread above) and feeling unable to concentrate fully on any of my artwork. I have a pet portrait with a deadline looming and have made a good start on the Fire & Light illustration (well, have the roughs done anyway!).

The sunny weather is making missing my dog almost unbearable (we lost our Siberian husky boy almost three years ago now). I'm currently driving Andy mad looking at rescue dogs!! I've found the most gorgeous, sad and abandoned boy here http://www.oldies.org.uk/?p=1496 I really want to go for it. There's nothing quite like a meander on the beach with a dog to restore the creative soul - but now I'm waiting for the rehoming lady to get back in touch to see if we are possible candidates for rehoming him. More waiting...
