howling snarling prowling snapping

Ha, can you tell what kind of mood I am in today?!

This friendly little chap has been prowling in my head for weeks and tonight he finally got let loose...

These are the rough sketches, the final work will be... well, probably a little more disturbing. I have an idea to use a quote I am in love with, it starts "just around the corner...". But I will see how it develops.

a serious cat

Wilson the Maine Coon. He's now just over six months old and about half the size he's going to be (he's currently the same size as fat cat Rufus). He rules the house, and has been the boss of Kenzie the husky since he was a tiny kitten. It's as if he knows that he will one day be enormous...

it's been a while...

It's a long time since my last post - partly work related, partly not! (Facebook has a lot to answer for...). Bologna opens tomorrow and I've been doing some new work for that. Unfortunately my scanner chose the final week to give up the ghost so at present I only have this horrendously coloured scan to show you. I'll replace it with a new one as soon as I can...

those damn puppets

Ah, a long time since I last posted due to the ongoing puppet design job. I finished, finally, this morning (although I still am on tenterhooks for the phone call from the printer with a problem!). The title of the post is a homage to all my lovely friends who have been saying this to me whenever I have been unable to join them to do anything for the last two weeks!

Now I'm free to carry on with the Growing Boy and to let out the wolf image that has been gnawing around in my head...

today I have mostly...

...been working on a design project on the computer, interspersed with mad spending sprees... in a, probably, vain attempt to lift the eternally dreich January gloom which seems to go on forever, and ever and ever...

At last, the green polka dot tablecloth I have coveted for ages...

a gorgeous dish from Jules...

and little bird tile tattoos for my bathroom...

plus some watercolours, pens and the most fabulous knitting book.

Meanwhile, Jackson ran into a door (he did, honest! well, the door handle at least...), and now has a round, egg-shaped bump on his cheekbone. Although he is not complaining, it looks very sore and I'm not looking forward to nursery tomorrow!

In the midst, I found some time to work on the Growing Boy.
